Camera Gear


    When you take decent photos, many people automatically assume it's because of the gear you use.  This is definitely not the case.  If you know what you're doing, you can get great photos with a cheap camera, and if you don't know what you're doing, you can get terrible photos with a professional camera, no matter how many features it has to try and make up for the operator.  So, while I used to pay a lot of attention to camera gear, I'm now trying to simplify, work on my technique, and get the best photos I can.

    I used to shoot entirely on film, except for travel shots on my digital camera.  In 2006, I made a transition to shooting mainly digital, though I'll still keep some of my film gear.  So, anyway, here's what I use, or have used.
