Moab

In May 1999, my old and good friend Keith Jernigan and I took an epic road trip through the American Southwest.  We had three weeks, and we visited close to a dozen parks and attractions in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and southern California.  It was a great trip, but looking back I wish we had more time to spend in each place we visited.

Now that I live in the Southwest, I have begun the process of returning to each park we visited to get a deeper picture of the area. so to speak.  The first parks I revisited were Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, and Natural Bridges National Monument.  I think the photos I got are much better than the last trip, but I definitely missed the valuable companionship of my good friend Keith.

Since my original visit almost three years earlier, I've learned a bit more about photography.  Click here to compare the photos below to the ones I took on my first visit here.
