During the first week of August, 2000, I participated in a missions trip to Tampico, Mexico.  Our task was to install wiring, lights, and fans in a new Methodist church, our part of a joint effort overseen by the United Methodist Men, North Georgia Conference.

          This trip had a special meaning for me in addition to the opportunity to do God's work and to help others.  In 1998, I participated in a missions project to Monterrey, Mexico.  The sights on that trip inspired me to become a photographer.  Two years later, in 2000, my skills had developed enough that I was entrusted to be the photographer for the trip.
